Paris Hilton's Stalker Charged The man who was arrested outside Paris Hilton's California home earlier this month has been charged with two counts of felony stalking. James Rainford was first caught outside Hilton's Hollywood Hills home last October after he was found trespassing on her property. He was subsequently handed a restraining order, which banned him from going within 200 yards of Hilton. However, Rainford is accused of violating the order on July 4, when he was arrested outside Hilton’s Malibu estate.He has now been charged with two felony stalking counts and three misdemeanour counts of disobeying a court order.His bail has been set at $150,000. Rainford caused another security scare for Hilton earlier this year, he attacked her then-boyfriend Cy Waits outside a Los Angeles courthouse in April. |

James Rainford was detained by L.A. County Sheriff's deputies on after they found him sitting on the beach, looking into Hilton's house. He was arrested on suspicion of breaching a restraining order which bans him from going within 200 yards of her. Hilton was photographed watching the drama unfold from a balcony. An onlooker says, "He was hanging around on the beach while Paris was inside. Someone recognized him as being the man who had given her trouble in the past and the cops arrived pretty quickly. They checked him out and led him away, he was handcuffed and put into the police car." Rainford was previously arrested in October for trespassing outside Hilton's L.A. home and fighting with her security staff, and this year, he was sentenced to jail for attacking her former boyfriend Cy Waits outside a courthouse in April. Lindsay Lohan Released From House Arrest Lindsay Lohan was freed from house arrest, ending a drama-filled 35 days and opening the next chapter in her efforts to put her court troubles behind her.Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said Lohan's electronic monitoring equipment was removed shortly before 10 a.m. and she was removed from the jail system around 10:20 a.m.Lohan is not entirely free. She still has to complete 480 hours of community service, complete an anti-shoplifting class and comply with other terms of her release.Her spokesman, Steve Honig, said Lohan is "very focused" on resuming her community service, which is being performed at a downtown Los Angeles women's shelter and will also require her to work at the county's morgue.Lohan was sentenced to four months in jail in May for violating her probation in a 2007 drunken driving case by taking a necklace from a jewelry store without permission earlier this year. She pleaded no contest to the theft and received no additional penalties, but will remain on probation for several more months. |
