Lindsay Lohan Must Serve 30 Days In Jail Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner ordered Lindsay Lohan returned to jail for 30 days because she violated her probation on a theft charge earlier this year and a 2007 drunken driving charge.The judge determined Lohan violated the terms of her sentence. After leaving jail, she must complete a lengthy schedule of community service at the Los Angeles County Morgue as well as court-ordered therapy sessions.Sautner, who is the fifth judge that Lohan has faced since her first arrest in 2007, has expressed exasperation with her.Lohan has been reporting to the Los Angeles morgue regularly, which Sautner ordered her to do at the last court appearance. The judge had sentenced Lohan to serve 120 hours doing janitorial work at coroner's office in April, but expressed hope she would benefit from working at a women's shelter.Lohan was terminated from the shelter program after failing to show up nine times at the center. She told her probation officer the assignment was not fulfilling, according to the probation report.Lohan has been sent to jail, rehab, counseling and community service numerous times since being arrested twice for drunken driving in 2007. |

Lindsay Lohan Late On First Day At Morgue Lindsay Lohan arrived late to her first day of community service at the county morgue and was turned away, another stumble in her effort to prove to a judge that she is complying with terms of her probation.Lohan had been told to arrive at 8 a.m. for an orientation session but arrived 40 minutes late, spokesman Craig Harvey said.She was told to try again on Friday, but will have to arrive at 7 a.m., he said.Steve Honig, Lohan's spokesman, said in a statement that she was late because she didn't know which entrance to report to and "and confusion caused by the media waiting for her arrival.Lohan’s tardy arrival at the morgue came a day after she was admonished by a judge for being terminated from a community service assignment at a women's shelter. The hearing ended with Lohan's probation being revoked and her being led from court in handcuffs.She later posted $100,000 bail and was released.She remains on probation for a pair of drunken driving arrests in 2007 and a misdemeanor theft case filed earlier this year after she was accused of taking a $2,500 necklace without permission. She pleaded no contest in that theft case.Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner ordered Lohan to complete 16 hours of work at the morgue before a Nov. 2 hearing. The judge will determine whether Lohan violated the terms of her probation by being terminated from the Downtown Women's Center after being late several times and not showing up for her service. |
